Billie Eilish Slams Silent Celebrities For Not Speaking Out On ICE Shootings

Billie Eilish is the latest famous person to speak out on ICE raids and ICE agents gunning down US citizens, and she’s also had a pop at other celebrities who have failed to follow her example.

On Instagram earlier, Eilish posted a selfie with a baffled look and the caption: “Hey my fellow celebrities, u gonna speak up? Or…”

Clearly this does not apply to Mark Ruffalo, Natalie Portman, Moby, Pedro Pascal, Jamie Lee Curtis, Edward Norton, and others who have publicly criticised the Trump administration already for the way ICE has been moving these last few weeks.

It’s just such a classic American phenomenon, isn’t it? Imagine if things were popping off in the UK and British people started asking “where is Daniel Craig? Idris Elba? Adele? When are all the celebrities going to speak out about this?!”

Eilish, 24, is usually first to the party when it comes to ripping the corrupt in society (or those she deems to be, anyway). Previously, she had a go at Elon Musk for not using his wealth to aid humanity and resolve global issues like world hunger and saving endangered species.

Which may seem a bit rich coming from someone worth $50 million herself, but I’m not sure you can say much to counter her argument about ICE and the unnecessary use of lethal force they’ve exhibited in the last few weeks… against American citizens, no less!

Unfortunately I don’t think ICE or the Trump administration care how may big name celebs speak up against them, but I guess it can’t hurt to try.
