Anne Widdecombe’s Final WhatsApp Messages Before She Was Murdered Revealed
A WhatsApp conversation between a producer on Channel 5’s Matt Allwright Show and Ann Widdecombe has been released.
Widdecombe was due to appear on the show on Wednesday afternoon, but was found dead at her home the next day after failing to appear on a scheduled Zoom call and not responding to texts…
Widdecombe sent her final WhatsApp message at 12:19pm that day, writing: “Received! Panic over!!
Devon and Cornwall Police believe the 78-year-old former British MP and Reform UK spokeswoman was fatally attacked at her home in Haytor, Dartmoor, just 11 minutes later at around 12:30pm.
The initial 26-year-old suspect arrested the other day has been released without charge, and the latest update is that a 28-year-old white British national has been arrested in South Yorkshire on suspicion of murder.

It’s still unclear whether this was a robbery gone wrong or politically motivated, but I’m sure we’ll know soon enough.
Widdecombe may have held some unpopular views, and a lot of people weren’t terribly upset to find she had died after assuming it was natural causes at her age, but surely no decent person would wish a violent death on an old lady like this regardless of her political views.
RIP Ann and thoughts with her friends and family.
