Afroman Wins Defamation Trial In Lawsuit Filed By Cops Who He Trolled In Music Videos

Afroman actually won! The 51-year-old rapper has prevailed in the defamation lawsuit filed by seven Ohio sheriff’s deputies who sued him over music videos in which he used home security footage to mock their raid of his home.

Outside the court, the Because I Got High legend yelled: “We did it, America! Yeah, we did it! Freedom of speech! Right on! Right on!”

The police officers in question had raided Afroman’s home in 2022, turned the place upside down, broke his door, stole $400, found no drugs, and then tried to sue him for millions of dollars after he put his own home security footage of the raid online.

The officers claimed the music video(s) caused them “humiliation, ridicule, mental distress, and loss of reputation.” The Ohio jury heard the evidence, deliberated, and gave the cops absolutely nothing. Incredible result!

The court case itself was one for the ages, with a number of fantastic moments, including one officer confessing that he can’t be sure whether Afroman shagged his wife or not (as he claimed in his diss track):

Another officer broke down in tears in the courtroom as she was made to watch a music video of Afroman taking the p1ss out of her:

Another officer was forced to watch the music video for Lemon Pound Cake, in which he’s seeing ogling the lemon pound cake that Afroman’s mum baked for him:

The fact these cops even took Afroman to trial is a joke in itself, but now that he’s won it’s just made the situation 100x more humiliating for them. If they had only been more respectful and professional when raiding the rapper’s home for no reason, none of this would have happened. Now that they’ve dragged it through the courts and lost, they have to deal with the whole internet (and their own neighbourhoods) laughing at them even more.

Fair play to Afroman – the guy went on the absolute warpath and won in every way possible. Remind us to never get on his bad side.
