Q) Longest Queen of England

Queen Victoria

Yeah, I know, it’s a bit of a lame one. But you try to come up with an interesting longest “Q”, it’s tough man. Anyway. Queen Victoria holds this title for remaining on the throne for 63 years, 216 days, she’s not just the longest reigning Queen, she’s our longest reigning monarch, regardless of gender. Our present Queeny: Liz the second, is currently at 61 years, 314 days so she may well take that accolade soon and there’s nothing Vikki can do about it.

R) Longest Rat

Longest Weirdest - Longest Rat

Now, to be honest, this one isn’t official but I found the picture above and thought you’d like it. It’s horrible isn’t it? This rat was caught in South Africa and it was blamed for attacks on children in the area. But before we get too carried away, this was in the Sun newspaper and it was asking me to pay actual money to subscribe before I could read the whole piece. Sod that. So, it might not be the longest rat.

I also found an article in the Daily Mail about a couple of babies and a 77-year-old woman who were mauled to death in Soweto by giant rats back in 2011. Now that is the stuff of nightmares.

S) Longest Ship

Prelude FLNG Hull Float Launch

The Prelude FLNG is massive. No mucking about, it is huge. It’s the biggest vessel that has ever been built. It’s 488 metres (1,601 ft) long, 74 metres (243 ft) wide, and made with more than 260,000 tonnes of steel and was launched in December 2013. What a whopper. It was produced in South Korea and is thought to have cost between $10.8bn and $12.6bn.
