Tommy Robinson Confronts Metro Journalist For Campaigning To Have His Podcast Removed By Spotify
Tommy Robinson (real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon) has rang up a Metro journalist and had a go at him for writing an article campaigning to have his podcast removed by Spotify.
Metro journalist Luke Alsford was just going about his day, writing about apples and kiwis being recalled from ASDA, when he got a call from Tommy himself – eyes bulging, vein popping out of his head, and talking free speech and Islam:
🚨An enraged and irate Tommy Robinson calls a journalist with a bright red face and veins popping out of his forehead to confront him over a story about a campaign to have his podcast removed from Spotify.

Tommy says: “No matter what your newspapers does… we’re not going to stop. It doesn’t matter if you manage to get us deplatformed from Spotify, because that’s what you’re doing. You’re not a journalist. You act as a propaganda hit-piece. If you are a journalist, write in your report what I’ve said , and give the quote from the Quran that dehumanises non-Muslims. And then call for anyone promoting Islam on Spotify to be banned because it’s promoting dehumanising language against non-Muslims. You’re not gonna do that, are ya?”
Tommy Robinson accusing someone else of not being a real journalist? Pretty ironic, to be fair. Besides, Luke’s article hasn’t even been published yet! As he tells Tommy in that phone call, he will “definitely, definitely, fairly reflect” what Tommy has said to him in their discussion. He wouldn’t lie to Tommy Robinson, would be?
Well anyway, at least Tommy didn’t track Luke down to his home address and turn up outside and start yelling at him and his family. The last time he did that – to The Independent’s Lizzie Dearden in 2021 – he was arrested and handed a five-year stalking protection order. Head on a swivel, Luke!
