British TikToker Charged With Murder In Dubai, Faces Death Penalty

A British TikToker/influencer has been charged with premeditated murder in Dubai after stabbing her British boyfriend to death.

Brooke George, 23, from Gravesend, Kent, met 26-year-old Bill Treeby on Facebook, and he eventually flew her out to Dubai to be with him.

Advocacy group Detained in Dubai say Brooke claims she grabbed a knife in self defence during a violent attack by Bill, and is calling on authorities to release her on bail and for the incident to be dealt with as a domestic violence case.

According to Brooke, after a night out on June 22 2026, Bill assaulted her and withheld her passport to keep her from flying back to the UK.

At that point she grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed him in self defence while being punched in the face.

As it stands, former John Lewis worker Brooke is facing death by firing squad if convicted. She was actually arrested at Dubai International Airport that same night as she tried to flee, which probably doesn’t help her case.

Brooke is currently being held at the Bur Dubai Police Station, and according to Detained In Dubai, has endured humiliating treatment, including being made to strip naked in front of male officers without any female officers present.

She has also reportedly faced language barriers, been forced to make statements without a lawyer, and was initially denied consular access.

If this truly is a domestic violence case, then I’m sure there’ll be some evidence/hints that Dubai officials can work with. After all, she claims she was being punched in the face when she stabbed Bill (below).

The problem is – Brooke George is a female in Dubai, and so whatever the outcome, it’s not going to be an easy ride for her.

Good thing there are groups like Detained In Dubai out there to assist with situations like this, but it really is wild how many Brits manage to get themselves into such serious trouble in the UAE. Amazingly, no drugs involved this time though.

In a statement, the The Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office said: “We are in touch with a British woman detained in the UAE, we are supporting her family, and we are in contact with the local authorities.”

Here’s hoping for the right outcome. We’ll keep you posted.
