Katie Price Calls Gareth Gates ‘The One That Got Away’ 24 Years After Taking His Virginity
It’s crazy enough that Gareth Gates lost his virginity to Katie Price at 17 years old, but what makes it even crazier was that Katie Price was six months pregnant with Harvey at the time. Imagine having sex with a 6-months pregnant Katie Price, let alone losing your virginity to her? Talk about jumping in at the deep end!
Well anyway, that was in 2002, and now 24 years later, Katie claims Gareth was the one who ‘ghosted’ her, and she still wonders what could have been between them.
At a launch for her new docuseries, Katie said: “Imagine meeting someone 25 years ago and then they ghost you. You don’t know why and then you go forward 25 years and then you get the answers. Because he had thought I’d done something which I didn’t do and now, he finds out, it really wasn’t me.’
Apparently Gareth had thought that Katie sold the story of their sh@g to the press, which does sound like something she would do, to be fair. But apparently – she didn’t.
Katie adds: ‘Everyone was like, “You and Gareth, that was the one that got away.”
Previously, Gareth Gates had said that losing his virginity to Katie Price was his ‘biggest regret’ and that he was way too young to be dealing with the media coverage of it all.
In fact he initially denied the story was true, later admitting: “I denied the whole Jordan thing because I was 17, I didn’t want my family to find out about my sex life.
“If I hadn’t lied it wouldn’t have been a big deal, my family, friends and fans wouldn’t have felt as let down I guess.”
In fairness to Gareth Gates, if I’d have sex with a 6-months pregnant Katie Price, I’d probably want to keep it quiet too. Then again, if it happened when I was 17, I probably wouldn’t be able to shut up about it. Fair play to him for having the maturity at the time to keep schtum about it, but the truth always comes out eventually.
