Rod Stewart Nearly Faints, Need Oxygen On Stage During Concert In Utah
Rod Stewart is 81 years old and still rocking out on stages across the world, even if it means he needs to pause the show to take breaths from an oxygen tank here and there.
Not even joking – the Forever Young legend was seriously struggling at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre the other night, and needed a few puffs from his oxygen tank to carry on:

After relinquishing the oxygen mask, Rod turned to the crowd and said: “The show must go on. I nearly f*cking fainted up here. Would you mind if I sat down for this one?”
Too funny. Sure enough, he finished the show sitting in a chair.
Now in fairness to Rod Stewart, aside from being 81 years old, he was also performing in West Valley City, Utah, which sits roughly 4,300 feet above sea level. Lower oxygen levels at that altitude are always going to affect an ageing rock star singing his lungs out, but like the ultimate showman he is, old Rod kept going. What a warrior!
Even still, does he know that it’s OK to retire at 81 years of age? He doesn’t need the money or the adulation at this point, so he’s doing it purely for the love of the game. It’s all he’s ever known! There’s really nothing else you can do but respect it. If Rod Stewart ends up dying on stage, I think he’ll leave this Earth a happy man. Go Rod Go!
