Rupert Lowe Posted A Photo Of His Son Marrying A Libyan Woman And His Supporters Are Not Happy

Rupert Lowe posted a picture of his son marrying a Libyan woman, and there’s been, shall we say, a mixed response from his supporters.

Lowe, MP for Great Yarmouth and leader of the right-wing Restore Britain party, posted the following on Facebook and X this week…

Here’s some of the reaction…

“People keep saying he is marrying a Muslim women. Can you clear this matter up please @RupertLowe10

“What the f*ck dude. Encouraging your english child to marry a fucking foreigner? Rupert”

“You’re proud that he married a brown foreign invader? What a joke and obvious anti-British party Restore Britain is. You’re not going to restore it if the natives keep marrying the foreigners & having mixed-race kids.”

“she is an Arab jew. This party is done”

“Their kids won’t be English. This is not restoring Britain. ”

“Party masquerading as wanting to bring back Christian roots. Party leaders’ children don’t even get married in a Christian ceremony.”

“They look swarthy. Are you sure you don’t have foreign blood in you, Rupert. Gypsie perhaps?”

Now look, there are also a bunch of comments congratulating him and wishing his son and his Libyan daughter-in-law well, but it’s still pretty shocking to see so many negative comments from Restore supporters. There was also a comment from someone asking if there were halal options at the wedding, which was pretty funny (there was).

The way some people see it is that Lowe is a hypocrite for campaigning for the harshest possible measures for illegal migrants and asylum seekers, and then standing by as his son marries a Muslim woman.

Wonder if they know/care that she’s British born and comes from a wealthy, academic family? Probably not.

Rupert Lowe might shrug this all off, but it’s got to sting that some of this supporters won’t accept the mixed race grandchildren that his son will eventually bring into the world. Then again, I’m sure he fully expected this reaction, especially on the internet.

Best of luck to the happy couple!
