The New Trailer For Christopher Nolan’s ‘THE ODYSSEY’ Has Been Released

Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’ has to be the most anticipated film of 2026 and we’re just a couple months away from it landing on the big screen, so it’s a great time to hype everyone up with a new trailer.

We got our first look at Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, and more – plus the terrifying Cyclops:

Looks pretty good! Cinematography is great. Pattinson plays the creep amazingly and is giving Joaquin Phoenix in Gladiator vibes. The action scenes seem like they’re going to look and sound incredible at the cinema. Finally – a movie worth checking out on the big screen rather than waiting for it to drop on Netflix!

If I had to complain about something, I’m not a fan of Tom Holland saying “my DAD is coming home”. Dad?? Surely the word “father” is better suited period pieces like this. Also Matt Damon yelling “let’s go!” felt kind of jarring? Just doesn’t seem very Ancient Greece-like.

Speaking of which, using American accents rather than British accents also feels a little off. I mean, I get that they weren’t speaking with British accents in Ancient Greece, but the American accent is so young it just feels wrong pairing it with a historical story. That’s Hollywood, I guess.

Still, I’m sure it will be an epic regardless. Roll on July.
