Russell Brand Struggles To Find Bible Verse In Incredibly Awkward Moment During Piers Morgan Interview

Russell Brand has been really leaning into the born-again Christian thing, and even brought his Bible along with him to an hour-long interview with Piers Morgan last night.

Piers well and truly put him on the spot by asking him to point out which verses were relevant to him when he was in court on rape and sexual assault charges – which led to this awkward moment:

Brutal stuff. Piers choosing not to interrupt was absolutely savage too. I think it might have been the longest he’s even gone without talking on his own show? And all just to make the situation as awkward and uncomfortable as possible for Russell Brand. That look he gave the camera – lol:

Say what you will about Piers, he’s been in the game long enough to know how to maximise content.

Anyway, after what felt like an eternity, Brand conceded defeat, saying, “I can’t find the actual verse I had that day”. He did find another verse though that he said was “good enough”.

The interview covered Brand’s upcoming trial for sexual assault charges – to which he has pleaded not guilty – where he stated he would be “with God” even if found guilty.

Also in the interview – Brand confessed it was ‘immoral’ to sleep with a 16-year-old girl as a 30-year-old and said the allegations against him have ‘taken the shine off’ his Shagger of the Year awards. At least he hasn’t lost his sense of humour eh?
