David Schwimmer Thanks Wireless Sponsors For Pulling Out, Calls Kanye West A ‘Bigot’

In case you were wondering what David Schwimmer thought about the whole Kanye West/Wireless saga (before it was all cancelled completely), the Friends star had taken to social media to blast Kanye and thank sponsors for pulling out of the summer event over the rapper’s inclusion.

Schwimmer wrote on IG: ‘Thanks Paypal, Pepsi and Diaego. It’s great to see companies with moral clarity.’

He accused Kanye of being ‘one of the most recognisable hate-mongering bigots in the world‘, said he wasn’t buying the rapper’s apology, and urged him to ‘donate a portion of his hefty Wireless profits to Jewish charitable organisations.

Here’s Ross’s statement in full – which took up four pages on Instagram:

Wow, he really feels strongly about this. Which make sense, given he’s Jewish and all. Schwimmer has also previously called on Elon Musk to ban Kanye West from X, so it’s only natural that he’d be fuming at the thought of Kanye West performing on stage again.

Schwimmer accuses Kanye of causing a spike in antisemitism over the last few years and is cynical about the rapper’s apology, claiming that he’s only doing so to get his career back on track. Apparently Kanye’s excuse about having a psychotic break doesn’t wash with him either, which is weird, because Schwimmer knows all about breaks. Just ask Rachel!

Despite objections from Schwimmer, Matt Lucas and others, it seems that Kanye’s headline act will go ahead in London this summer.

[UPDATE: The government has now blocked Kanye West from entering the U.K.and Wireless has been cancelled completely. Happy, Dave?
