Rob Schneider Says The U.S. “Must Restore The Military Draft For Our Nation’s Young People” Amid War In Iran
Hollywood actor Rob Schneider has never served in the military, but is now calling for the United States to “restore the military draft for our nation’s young people” amid the country’s ongoing conflict with Iran.
Schneider, 62, who is Jewish, wants young Americans serve two years of mandatory military service when they turn 18, and then go off to die for Israel.
He says: “Each and every American, at eighteen years of age, must serve two years of military service. They could also choose to serve part of that time overseas or in country in a volunteer capacity. Being a citizen of the United States gives us unparalleled Freedoms and opportunities that are the envy of the world. However, these Freedoms that we cherish do not come without a cost.”
“By protecting and preserving these Freedoms, young people, regardless of race, creed or religion will be united in service to their country and just as importantly, to each other. Many Nations around the world require their young citizens to serve their country. Until recently, our Nation did as well.”
Schneider claims that by reinstating the draft, young Americans would be “put into a rigorous physical training course that they could use for the rest of their lives.” He also claimed that, “unlike in today’s universities,” the military would teach them “how truly great their country is.”
He concluded: “To the young people of America, this is your country and your future. We will leave this great and Free Nation in your good hands for your children and for your children’s children. God Bless the United States of America!”
The U.S. called its last military draft in 1972 amid the Vietnam War. Again, Rob Schneider has never served in the military because he was too busy wearing brownface in Adam Sandler movies when he could have been serving instead. He also doesn’t have any sons who would be affected by the return of the draft. Is there a bigger sign of an @rsehole than someone volunteering others for a hardship that they wouldn’t endure?
Well anyway, he’s catching so much flak for this that he’s turned off the comments on his X account, despite doubling down on his views…
