Danny Dyer Says Britain Needs A ‘Reset’ – “We’re Just So F’n Divided Right Now”
Football Factory and Eastenders legend Danny Dyer has said that Britain needs “some sort of reset” in a new interview with Rolling Stone UK.
Dyer, 48, told the publication: “Misogyny, sexism, homophobia and racism are all on the rise again. We’ve regressed as human beings, so we need some sort of reset, don’t we?”
On the current social and political climate in the country: “We’re just so f*cking divided right now. The working classes, no matter what colour your skin is, are fighting each other and the elites are taking the f*cking p*ss.

He continued: “It’s now very apparent they’re taking the p*ss, but instead of everyone coming together and looking up, we’re just fighting and blaming each other. It’s petrifying to be honest with you, I don’t know why we’ve digressed so much as human beings.”
I’ll be honest – when I first saw the headline about Danny Dyer demanding a ‘reset’ in Britain, I thought he would lean in the complete opposite direction. Start banging on about unchecked immigration and whatnot. But it actually turns out the King of Cockney is a bit of a liberal? Which is just as well if he wants to keep getting TV work in the UK, I suppose.

Unfortunately, a ‘reset’ usually involves war and that’s exactly where we seem to be headed at the moment. Everyone gets along fine after a war, don’t they? Well, for about 10 minutes before the next war starts brewing, but at least it’s something.
Danny Dyer’s new film, One Last Deal, is out in UK cinemas today (March 13), funnily enough.
