Trump Rips Into Keir Starmer Over Iran: ‘This Is Not Winston Churchill We’re Dealing With’

Donald Trump has torn into Keir Starmer and said he is “not happy with the UK” because of the initial refusal to allow US troops to use the British base on the Chagos Islands during their first strikes on Iran.

The President even went as far as to invoke Winston Churchill…

Trump said: “This is not the age of Churchill. The UK is very uncooperative. That stupid island they have. That they gave away, and took a hundred year lease, having to do with ‘indigenous people’ that never even saw the island before.

“They ruin relationships. That country, UK, I love that country, my mother was born there…the UK, with energy and immigration, is horrible.”

Trump reiterated his frustrated later, adding: “It’s taken three, four days for us to work out where we can land, it would have been much more convenient landing there as opposed to flying many extra hours.

“So we are very surprised. This is not Winston Churchill that we’re dealing with.”

Welp, seems like the ‘special relationship’ ain’t so special anymore. In fairness to Starmer, I think this actually makes him look good? You just know if this was the Tories or Reform we’d have troops in Iran already holding Trump’s hand and dying for America and Israel. Whether you agree with it or not, Starmer isn’t just blindly following what Trump tells him to do. The fact he’s even defying Trump by criticising the war is a pretty big surprise, honestly.

Besides, it wasn’t that long ago that Trump disrespected British troops by claiming they “stayed a little back, a little off the front lines” in Afghanistan. Now he’s crying that we don’t want to join the war? Come on Donny.
