Sadiq Khan: Nigel Farage Will Bring ICE-Style Crackdown To Britain

Sadiq Khan has warned that a Reform UK government with Nigel Farage in power would lead to ICE-style raids and deportations taking place in the UK.

This is probably great news to anyone who was already planning to vote for Farage and is unlikely to change anyone’s view on Reform either way, but it does make you wonder how closely Reform UK would emulate Trump’s government if they were to come into power.

Addressing a conference for the Fabian Society at the Guildhall in London this week, Khan described ICE as “a de facto paramilitary force targeting and terrorising diverse communities”. He added: “this is a new extreme, and one a Reform government could seek to emulate, leaving minorities fearing a tap on the shoulder.”

The mayor of London cited “the return of far-Right populism and nativism” in Britain and argued that “the idea that we can be diverse, united and prosperous is under threat like never before.”

According to Khan, Reform and the Tories “can’t stand what London represents — a city that’s diverse, progressive and thriving, with a Mayor who happens to be a Muslim”.

Again, the threat of a British version of ICE will not be a negative for the majority of people voting for Reform. The irony of course is that Farage’s party is now full of those who failed at running the country for 14 years, and did so little to curb the illegal migration that created this issue in the first place. Reform are basically asking the British public to vote again for the people who created the situation they’re so against.

For what it’s worth, net immigration has fallen since Labour came into power last year. It’s nice to live in a country where they can deal with this sort of thing without having to shoot anyone in the street, isn’t it? So let’s hope we don’t need to go full ICE in the future.
