Ms. Rachel Apologises For Liking Antisemitic Comment, Says She Was ‘Just Tapping’ And Tried To Delete
Kid’s YouTube sensation Ms. Rachel has issued an emotional apology after (mistakenly) liking an antisemitic comment on her Instagram.
The comment was left by a user from Slovakia under a post Ms. Rachel made that read “Free Palestine, Free Sudan, Free Congo, Free Iran” with each country’s respective flag.
The comment itself said: “Free America from the Jews” – which was liked by several users, including Ms. Rachel.

Cue online outrage, which led to Ms. Rachel putting out a tearful apology video where she explained that she was “just tapping” and attempting to delete the comment but accidentally hit “Like” instead. Happens to the best of us, I suppose?
She added: “I feel like we can’t be human anymore online… I’m so sorry if anyone thought that I would ever agree with something horrible and antisemitic like that.
“I’m old, so I am not as good with touching things online, I guess.”
She also posted an explanation on Threads:

However, she then kinda doubled down by pinning another comment that some may also describe as antisemitic – claiming the initial comment was written “by themselves”:
Now look, Ms. Rachel seems like a thoroughly decent person and fair play to her for being unafraid to speak out on the atrocities happening in Palestine, Sudan and so on. But if you’re going to Like an “antisemitic” comment on Instagram and then apologise and claim it was an accident, then it’s probably not a good idea to then pin and respond to another comment that suggests it was left by the Jews themselves to stir up trouble.
This follows Ms. Rachel’s recent nomination as a finalist for “Antisemite of the Year” by the group StopAntisemitism in late 2025, a label she and many supporters have criticised as a mischaracterisation of her advocacy for Palestinian children.
Some people are bigging her up for her transparency and apology, while others question how it’s humanly possible to Like a comment while trying to delete it, and then leave it Liked for all to see. I guess we’re all just going to have to take her word for it. Ms. Rachel wouldn’t lie, would she?
