Joe Rogan Criticises ICE Tactics: ‘Are We Really Going To Be The Gestapo?’
Joe Rogan may have turbocharged Trump’s rise to the Presidency the second time around, but like many Americans, it sound like he’s not on board with the way ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) is operating.
Rogan called the shooting of Renee Good in Minneapolis “horrific”, and said Americans now see Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents as “murderous military people.”
He also seems to agree with many others that Renee Good appeared to be swerving away from the ICE agent who shot her to death, rather trying to run him over, which is the justification that Trump, Vance, and so many others have given for what happened.
Rogan says: “Now ICE are villains, and now people are looking at them like murderous military people that are on the streets of our cities and they’re masked up, which is a problem.
“Most people believe that police are necessary…but those same people that believe that, might also believe that once someone is here, they should be able to stay in this country and ICE is operating illegally and we shouldn’t have militarized groups of people roaming the streets, just showing up with masks on and snatching people up.
“Are we really going to be the Gestapo? ‘Where’s your papers?’ Is that what we’ve come to?”
He then mentioned Good, saying: “It’s very ugly to watch someone shoot a U.S. citizen, especially a woman, in the face…It just looked horrific to me. When people say it’s justifiable because the car hit him, it seemed like she was turning the car away.”
Might be a little bit awkward the next time Rogan and Trump bump into each other at the UFC, but fair play to Joe for having the balls to say it anyway.
Obviously there are valid reasons for an immigration crackdown, particularly in places like Minneapolis, but I think any sensible person would agree that the way ICE agents have been carrying on is an absolute disgrace.
We’ve basically got bands of masked semi-military police in unmarked vehicles roaming the streets, grabbing people from their homes, workplaces, the streets, etc without any warrants, and disappearing them to prisons in countries without any due process, trial or legal recourse.
In the case of Renee Good – they’ve shot an unarmed US citizen 3x in the face and the government immediately closed down the investigation that would normally occur & prevented local police from investigating the killing. How can this be the USA in 2026? Sounds more like Russia or North Korea.
