Famous New York Jeweller Absolutely Loses It On Rival Jeweller Who Was ‘Ripping Off’ Customers

A famous New York City jeweller completely lost the plot on a rival jeweller who was allegedly ripping off his customers by pretending to be him.

The jeweler ‘TraxNYC’ was seen confronting rival jeweler Akay Diamonds on 47th Street… but eventually ended up in hospital himself when things turned physical:

In the next clip, the other jeweller spits in his face and fisticuffs are thrown:

So apparently what happened was this: Akay Diamonds scammed another customer using the TraxNYC name and sold him a 10KT gold bracelet as 14KT. The customer had entered the Diamond District searching for the famous TraxNYC, and Akay Diamonds staff claimed affiliation before selling the white gold bracelet at a premium price .

Akay Diamonds issued a receipt labeled “14KT White Gold” but independent testing confirmed the bracelet was only 10KT, and that there was a clear mismatch between paperwork, price and material.

Terrible look for Akay Diamonds and New York’s Diamond District in general, but apparently the bracelet has now been returned and refunded, although potential lawsuits still loom. TraxNYC really doesn’t seem like the type of guy who’s going to let this go, does he?
