Jennifer Lawrence Calls Out Cynthia Erivo After She Claims To Have “Synesthesia”
The thing with synesthesia is that it cannot be clinically diagnosed, and so any and every attention seeker out there can claim to “see music as colours” and you just have to take their word for it.
Obviously, ‘Wicked’ actress and Ariana Grande BFF Cynthia Erivo claims to have the condition, and was immediately and hilariously tested on it by Jennifer Lawrence during a recent actress roundtable:
Now look, it’s entirely possible that Cynthia Erivo really does have synesthesia and is seeing red or green or whatever colour any time she hears music, but it’s equally possible she’s talking b0llocks too. And if you’re going to make sh1t up, you better be prepared for when someone calls you out on it on camera.
It didn’t really feel like Jennifer Lawrence and co were taking her seriously with the banter that followed, but I do like how her brain broke at the end when they all attempted to harmonize and the colour supposedly changed. Rick-rolled by her neurological settings or caught in a bald-faced lie? It’s anyone’s guess really.
