The Oasis reunion tour is set to kick off this Friday, July 4, in Cardiff, so what better time than now for Liam Gallagher to Tweet out a ‘racial slur’ and kick up a bit of controversy before the big day?
Liam, 52, has been forced to apologise to South Korean Oasis fans after Tweeting the following:
And the apology that followed…
Sorry if I offended anyone with my tweet before it wasn’t intentional you know I love you all and I do not discriminate. peace and love LG x
— Liam Gallagher (@liamgallagher) July 1, 2025
Well, I think it’s pretty clear that he meant no offence to anyone whatsoever, so I’ve got no doubt that the people of South Korea will forgive him. For whatever reason, it was South Koreans in particular who called him out for the Tweet, even though it’s usually a slur that’s intended for people who speak Chinese languages. Either way, it’s just Liam being Liam! No offence intended.
Sure enough, Oasis will be stopping over at the Goyang Stadium in October – a 41,000-capacity arena situated to the northwest of South Korea’s capital city, Seoul. Maybe Liam can yell the word into the microphone in front of 40,000+ people and see how that plays out live? Wouldn’t put it past him.
