‘Last of Us’ star Pedro Pascal seems to be using every possible interview he can to rip into JK Rowling these days, and he’s done it again in a new interview with Vanity Fair.

In case you didn’t know, Pedro Pascal has a transgender sister, and so I guess that goes some way to explaining why he has such a big problem with JK Rowling AKA the Queen of TERFs.

Here’s Pedro Pascal and his transgender younger sister Lux Pascal:

During this latest interview, Pascal was asked about the reaction to his previous tirade against Rowling, where he commented under a photo of her enjoying a celebratory cigar in the wake of the Supreme Court ruling on the definition of ‘woman’. Pascal had written: ‘Awful disgusting S*** is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior.’

Pascal appeared to have no regrets over his comments, telling Vanity Fair that he felt like ‘that kid that got sent to the principal’s office a lot for behavioural issues in public schools in Texas feeling scared and thinking, What’d I do?”.

However, he added: ‘The one thing that I would say I agonised over a little bit was just, “Am I helping? Am I f**king helping?”.

‘It’s a situation that deserves the utmost elegance so that something can actually happen, and people will actually be protected. Listen, I want to protect the people I love. But it goes beyond that. Bullies make me f**king sick.’

Well, I’m not sure it’s fair to call JK Rowling a bully. Whether you agree with her stance on transgenderism or not, she really just seems to be defending what she believes, rather than actively ‘bullying’ anyone out of cruelty or insecurity or whatever else motivates bullies. She genuinely feels as though she’s protecting women, and obviously feels very passionate about it given she’s put her reputation on the line and donated £70k of her own money to the Scottish campaigners behind the Supreme Court appeal. Which is basically pocket change to her, but still.

And so, there might be a little irony in constantly calling someone a loser and a bully when they have not personally attacked you or anyone else. Then again, Rowling did kind of take a dig at Pascal after being made aware of his recent comments on her:

Um, only one of the most prolific film and TV stars of the moment. Although at this point I suppose nothing would infuriate Pedro Pascal more than JK Rowling pretending that she doesn’t even know who he is.
