Tommy Robinson was rocking a new, some-might say ‘Muslim-like’ ginger beard as he was released from prison today following a High Court appeal to reduce his prison sentence.
Tommy diehards around the UK would have been panicking that someone managed to convert Tommy during his time at HMP Woodhill in Milton Keynes, but not to worry, he’s also very clearly wearing a rosary and cross around his neck:
Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, was released after serving 18 months for breaching a court injunction over allegations against a Syrian refugee.
42-year-old Tommy was also wearing a MEGA hat (Make Europe Great Again) upon his release, but it doesn’t seem like anyone snapped a photo of that, for some reason.
He immediately spoke to the press and told them he was going to the barber’s – presumably not Turkish?
Robinson was originally due to be released on July 26, but the judge was satisfied with ‘assurance that he will comply with the injunction in the future’. Mr Justice Johnson said that Robinson had shown a ‘change in attitude’ since being sentenced.
‘He (Robinson) has given an assurance that he will comply with the injunction in the future, that he has no intention of breaching it again, and that he is aware of the consequences of what would happen if he breached the injunction again.’
Give it about a month? Although who knows, maybe Tommy really has turned over a new leaf and will spend more time talking about religion now that he seems to have found God and is wearing rosaries and whatnot.
Tommy’s legal woes aren’t over yet, though. He’s due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on June 5, accused of harassing two journalists.
In addition to that, he faces a trial in October over accusations that he failed to provide his mobile phone PIN code when stopped by Kent Police in Folkestone in July 2024.
