Now that Conor McGregor has finished farting around in a boxing ring with Floyd Mayweather and becoming a bonafide millionaire, he can go back to doing what he actually does fairly well: competing in the Octagon.

And who better an opponent for his comeback fight than the only man to have ever defeated him in UFC, Nate Diaz? The two memorably had a rematch fairly soon afterwards that Conor managed to win on points, but both have been itching for the completion of the trilogy and it’s currently heavily rumoured that this will be happening at UFC 219 on December 30th in Las Vegas.

There’s been no official word on this yet but Conor has been vocal in suggesting that Nate would be his next opponent and apparently his family and friends are so confident that it’s going to go ahead that they’ve all started making travel plans as well. The UFC also traditionally tries to make their end of year PPV a big one, and this seems like the most logical fight to end the year on too. Conor and Nate both love money too so I doubt it’s gonna be too hard to convince them to get into the ring again. Probably call this one good to go.
