It goes without saying that Back To The Future is a very unbelievable movie, but that’s part of its charm and probably why we all love it. Despite that, one of the more unbelievable aspects of its storyline was the fact that Doc Brown had stolen plutonium from Libyan terrorists, which was never really explained and kinda washed by the wayside for most of the trilogy.

One fan named Tyler Hopkins wouldn’t let it lie though, and has spent a considerable amount of time and effort creating a Back To The Future prequel trailer which tells the story of Doc travelling to Libya to steal the plutonium under the guise of building a bomb for the terrorists. It doesn’t exactly hold true to the original trilogy’s comedy hijinks and looks more like a thrilling action adventure. That said, it also looks pretty good too.

It’s called 1.21 Gigawatts, naturally:

Yeah, that looks better than half the crap Hollywood will bang out this year and would probably do better box office too. In case you’re wondering, the trailer was filmed using clips from the following movies: Back to the Future, My Favorite Martian, Camp Nowhere, Things to Do in Denver When You’re Dead, Dennis the Menace, Zero Dark Thirty, Argo, The Sum of All Fears, Syriana, Iron Man, Dazed and Confused and Munich.
