Vegan companies and vegans in general are always trying to raise awareness of the plight of animals by performing wacky stunts in front of the general public but more often that not they’re just deemed annoying and stupid by those that they’re trying to convert.

Of course, that means that they’re only going to be doing more of them and vegan company THIS decided to host a state funeral for streaky bacon complete with guards and a hearse to celebrate the release of their new vegan streaky bacon. The stunt featured bacon being buried in a coffin and a bunch of guys dressed in King’s Guard style costumes playing brass instruments as the procession marched through the streets past loads of bewildered onlookers.

Take a look at it below:

Most people in the comments there are actually buzzing over the marketing and think that it’s super cool and quirky, but to be fair most of the people commenting already follow THIS so are probably all aboard the vegan hype train anyway. There are obviously some people commenting  negatively though and one saying that it’s an outrageously disrespectful stunt because it came so close to the funeral of the Queen. Lol give me a break.

The stunt is fine although I don’t know if the amount of views the videos currently have are worth the cost of the stunt. That’s another issue entirely.

For more of the same, check out when a 14 year old vegan schoolboy was punched in the face and force fed bacon. Hopefully those days are long behind us.
