Cobb, a 62-year-old son of a multi-millionaire had run from Canada where he was in trouble for allegations of inciting hatred and he wanted to make this little town his neo-Nazi safe-haven.

Residents realised that something was wrong when they learned that Cobb had given away his newly purchased land deeds to leading big guns of the far right movement. Swastika flags started going up around his property, and everyone knows that’s trouble. There’s a large German and Russian population in North Dakota so no one wanted to see that dirty symbol flying again in a hurry.

Sherrill Harper (below), the wife of the only black man in the town received a letter trying to convince her to join the movement saying: “What are you doing ‘married’ to a Negro?” The sleepy, peaceful community was waking up to the fact that this man was trying to take them over, people were scared and angry.

Cobb decided to throw a shindig for the National Social Movement (previously called the American Nazi Party) but thankfully they were greatly outnumbered by protesters from a nearby Indian reservation. It was at that point the residents realised they had a fight on their hands, but at least they knew they were in the right, rather than the far right.

But what would their next move be? How could they remove this low-life scum from their vicinity?
