A French man is suing Uber for an incredible 45 million Euros (around £38 million) after he claims that a glitch allowed his wife to find out he was cheating on her. Well you shouldn’t have been cheating in the first place buddy.

The man says that the app sent notifications of his pick up and drop off locations as well as time of travel to his wife’s phone. He added that he had logged into his wife’s phone before, but had logged out so the notifications should’ve stopped. Sounds like he’s got a pretty weak case there, particularly with the amount he’s asking for. Nutter.

The notifications confirmed suspicions that his wife already had and soon after finding out, she filed for divorce.

A spokesperson for Uber said:

Uber does not publicly comment on individual cases, including the case of divorce proceedings between spouses.

Apparently this is a legitimate glitch – if you log in and then out of an Uber account on an iPhone, the phone will still receive the notifications. However, as said, he shouldn’t have had an affair to begin with.

Whether the French man has any chance of winning his case against Uber is difficult to predict – it seems unlikely. Although if he did, that healthy sum would certainly ease the pain of being dumped. Perhaps he could start a new life and become the French Dan Bilzerian.
