Kirk Douglas, father of Michael Douglas, is 99. He’s been around the block. Could 2016 be his final year on the planet? He was born to a Jewish family but pretty much turned his back on religion in order to become an actor.

Things changed in 1991 when he was injured in a chopper crash, he went back to his Jewish roots. This, I should imagine, will cement him a cosy seat in heaven should he pop his clogs this year.
