It’s no secret that Tekashi 6ix9ine is a bad person – having thus far in his life faced child sex charges, assault charges, and been involved in all kinds of gangland activity before snitching on his entire crew to avoid life in prison. And that’s without getting into his persistently dickish behaviour on social media.

He’s been involved in so much drama and negativity in fact that charity ‘No Kid Hungry’ has this week rejected a $200,000 donation from him, claiming his ‘activities do not align’ with the non-profit organisation’s values.

As reported by Complex, the charity said the following:

We are grateful for Mr Hernandez’s generous offer to donate to No Kid Hungry but we have informed his representatives that we have declined this donation.

As a child-focused campaign, it is our policy to decline funding from donors whose activities do not align with our mission and values.

In a since-deleted Instagram post, 24-year-old Tekashi responded with the following:

@nokidhungry rather take food out the mouth of these innocent children I never seen something so cruel.

Pretty damning that at a time when charities need as many donations as possible, they have enough integrity to turn down a massive $200,000 donation because the guy offering it is such a terrible human being. Most charities would bite your hand off for that amount no matter where it’s coming from, but not No Kid Hungry. Sure they want to feed as many hungry kids as possible but they also want to be sure that money is coming from somewhere that meets their standards.

On the other hand, I can see the argument that they should just take that money no matter where it comes from, considering it’s going to such a worthy cause. I’m sure if No Kid Hungry traced every penny that’s even been donated to them they’d find some of it came from questionable sources, though perhaps not as blatantly questionable as Tekashi 6ix9ine. Still – imagine how many hungry kids $200,000 could feed! Hopefully they can make up for it with all the publicity they get from this story.
