A St. Patrick’s Day crew got together for celebrations the other week but were unfortunately mistaken for a group of gay activists due to their choice in clothing, and were beaten up.

Here’s a tip for anyone heading over to Russia anytime soon — bright colours are a giant no-no. Keep it simple on the clothes front or risk rolling up in the wrong neighbourhood and finding yourself among other brightly-dressed folk, where eventually you’re all mistaken for gay activists/LGBT. Which they’re not too crazy about in Russia, as we’ve learnt.
