As if the trailer for Straight Outta Compton wasn’t enough to get you completely pumped for it, then Noisey/HBO have just released this ten minute behind the scenes sneak peek feature on it will absolutely blow you away.
It’s like your standard clips from the movie and interview with the director, cast and real life characters promo video that you used to get for movies all the time back in the day but rarely see anymore. Or maybe you do but I just don’t bother watching them. Either way, you definitely want to watch this as it’s going to get you absolutely stoked for it.
As the blurb says: ‘It show that the movie will humanize the West Coast rappers in the context of their rise to fame and the environment that created them, and focus on the indisputable cultural impact they had on America.’ Deep. It also proves that the members of NWA were very hands on in the development of the project so you know that it’s going to be an authentic experience, which is what everyone is hoping for. It doesn’t look like it’s going to disappoint.
It drops in America next Friday but unfortunately we have to wait until August 28th for it which really isn’t fair. Still, I suppose you can watch this over and over again until then to get pumped about it. Maybe check out the sons of NWA too to pass the time until the big day.
