Scott Mills Sacked From BBC Radio 2 Over ‘Personal Conduct’
Scott Mills has been sacked and is no longer under contract with the BBC following allegations relating to his “personal conduct”.
The BBC said in a statement: “While we do not comment on matters relating to individuals, we can confirm Scott Mills is no longer contracted to work with the BBC.”
All that’s come out is that he’s been instantly axed over his “personal conduct” and that it relates to a “historic male relationship”. Whether that means he’s Clarkson’d someone or gone and done a full Schofield is anyone’s guess, but a sudden and instant firing suggests something on the worse end of the scale.

The 53-year-old was taken off air last week while bosses looked at the claim before announcing his dismissal today (Monday) – six days after he was secretly suspended.
Gary Davies has been standing in as the host for the Breakfast Show since Mills’ last broadcast last Tuesday. Mills had only recently taken over the flagship Breakfast Show from Zoe Ball in January 2025.

I’m sure we’ll have more details soon as this sort of stuff doesn’t really remain secret for long. Seems like a pretty big deal considering there’s never really been any rumours around him (as far as I know), and this is the biggest radio show in the UK.
Again, it must be bad for the BBC to act so quickly. However I also wonder if this is a new standard after so many scandals, that the Beeb just isn’t taking any risks at all. Not like they were going to carry on paying him for months like they did with Huw Edwards, is it?
More as it comes…
