Sunday was a massive day for everyone who had been waiting for ‘GTA 6’  for years over the weekend – see everyone in the world – as someone managed to hack into Rockstar’s servers and make off with hundreds of videos about the new game.

A whole bunch of these were posted online – we’ll try and share a few of them below but they might be deleted by the time you get around to reading this – but the main information about the game is as follows: you’ll play as both male and female protagonists named Jason and Lucia respectively, and the game will be set in a present day version of Vice City (loosely based on Miami in 2022). The pair are reported to have a modern day Bonnie And Clyde relationship.

Other important details appear to show you able to visit swamps and strip clubs and being able to heavily customise the inside of your car. There also seems to be way more animal life in this edition of GTA than in previous ones, with the option to fight alligators, and even ride horses and catch fish like in ‘Red Dead Redemption 2’.

What’s more, is that Rockstar actually came out and confirmed that everything about the leak was real, but thankfully that it won’t be slowing down production of the game. It’s probably not going to come out for at least a couple of years anyway, but it’s pretty sweet to finally knows at least something about it.

Here’s the statement and a video showing all the leaked gameplay footage (best thing to do here is just skip through and watch anything that looks cool as there’s a lot of crap in it):

Looks pretty sick right? A lot of people are moaning that the graphics don’t look that much better than GTA V but I think they look great and you have to remember it’s going to be a while before we see the finished version of the game and that when we do it’s obviously going to be completely sick because they always are. Just get pumped, it’s not that hard.

For more of the same, check out this leak from three years ago that revealed a bit about the weather systems. Not quite as exciting is it?
