There’s A Plot Twist In That 16 Year Old Winning A Month In A Hotel With A Porn Star Story

A couple of days ago we reported on the kid who we thought was possibly the luckiest boy alive – having just won a month long stay in a hotel with a porn star. Awesome.

It turns out that all was not what it seemed though, and it was likely just a marketing stunt for the website Cases4Real, which sells virtual weapons for video games. The 16 year old kid Ruslan Shchedrin randomly won his dirty month away after being the 100,000th person to visit the site. Apparently the rules of the competition were never announced, and it was just a random lucky dip.

This alerted Russian news sites who immediately thought that the story might be a hoax. They did some digging and found out that Shchedrin was actually an actor listed on the Russian IMDB site with several TV show credits under his belt:

However, this isn’t THAT bad as it was said that his occupation was a child actor when he originally won the competition – it’s perfectly possible that this was a legitimate win still. What is a bit fishy though is that his sister and mother in the video are ALSO actors, and not his immediate family members.

The porn star’s name was also reported as Ekaterina Makarova, which is actually the name of a Russian tennis player. However, she most definitely is a porn star and has performed under the aliases of Ekaterina, Macy Ssens, Irena, Irene, and Janna, so who knows, that could be just a typo. The important thing is that she’s definitely a porn star.

The whole thing about his family being actors kinda implies to me that the whole thing was faked though, and it’s also the opinion of a guy called Andrew Konyaev, who describes himself as a Russian viral marketing expert:

Guys, here’s a cool fake. This guy is an actor but news channel reports this viral story as real events.

To be honest, I’m buying it. I mean it’s just too stupid to be true really but it kinda appeals to every guy’s dreams so it’s OK to suspend disbelief slightly. Good work guys.

At least we all know that Russian reality TV definitely isn’t fake.
