Everyone probably thought that the Area 51 raid meme was a joke when it first went viral, but somehow the hype around the potential incursion is growing more and more by the day. The bad news is that it doesn’t look like it’s going to end so well for anyone involved though.

The whole mentality behind the raid is that the authorities won’t be able to take out everyone if we all storm it at once, but a YouTuber named OperatorDrewski decided to use the Arma3 video game to simulate what would happen in a potential raid and well, it basically looks as if all the civilians involved would be completely and utterly massacred if it did actually go down. Take a look at the footage yourself and tell me if you still think it’s a viable idea:

Whoa. If that wasn’t enough to dissuade you then how about this simulation from YouTuber Banned Inc that features people storming the base on hover boards whilst they’re dabbing – because of course that’s how people will be choosing to attack the most well guarded military base in history in real life:

Yeah, any inkling of me wanting to attend this event is rapidly dissipating, but just in case you’re still feeling it there’s this version from WarGaming3 featuring a million people trying to get into the base and yeah, it ends in pretty much the same way:

Damn. Of course, there is the question of whether the US military could legitimately massacre so many people if this did actually happen and everyone was live-streaming it – surely they would face some kind of war crime (?) tribunal or something? – but I think most of us are probably going to play it safe and not head out to the Nevada desert for this one.
