I know, I know, the picture is a cheetah not a leopard, but it’s a cheetah without spots so I thought it kind of fitted, OK? So can a leopard change its spots? No, I guess not. This phrase seems to have had its first airing in the Bible, in the book of Jeremiah 13:23:
