A website called ‘Museum Of Conceptual Art’ have a section called ‘Things Other People Accomplished When They Were Your Age’, and it’s a great tool to mess around with if you want to feel completely and utterly disappointed in yourself.

The concept’s pretty simple — enter your age and the site provides a list of things that other people had accomplished by the time they were your age.

For example, if you’re 20 — Bill Gates was busy co-founding Microsoft and Mary Shelley had just written Frankenstein.

23 years old? Jack Nicklaus was winning the gold Masters and Barrington Irving was flying around the world on his own.

27 years old? Jimi Hendrix has just choked to death on his own vomit after mixing wine with sleeping pills. So you win that one I guess.

Whatever way you look at it, the guy who invented this website is a total arsehole. This is just what we all need — to be reminded that we’re all failures. What I want to know is how successful the guy who’s running this website is? He’s either really successful and trying to rub our noses in it or he’s a massive loser trying to project his failures on the rest of us. Which is it mate (if you’re reading)?

At the end of the day, so what if I haven’t flown into outer space by the time I’m 27? Who else can say they’ve got the most-shared Andre the Giant photo set on the Internet? Boom, roasted.
