Another year, another Assassin’s Creed game where the footage looks absolutely incredible. Odyssey, Origins, and even the games before that always looked like game changers in the trailers and, the majority of gamers feel, delivered with epic playthroughs as well.

Based on the new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gameplay trailer, it looks like the 2020 edition will be no different:

How good does that look? You’ll be able to raid Pagan temples, Roman ruins and Saxon fortresses while burning down and brutalising everything and everyone in your path. All that stuff you wish you could do in real life but can’t because you live in far more civilised times where you spend most of your day in a cube working in front of a computer. The Vikings don’t know what they’re missing!

The only thing I’ll say about the last AC game which I played was that it was wayyyyy too long and a lot of the missions were basically identical in that you’d just have to go and fetch something and bring it back to the original location, so hopefully they’ve just for quality rather than quantity this time around. Can’t wait to check this out when it drops in November 2020.

For more gaming news, get a load of Breaking Bad’s Gus Fring appearing in the next Far Cry game. Whoa.
