Beating up women is becoming something of a trend for Manchester United players, with Brazilian star Antony now accused of ‘domestic violence, threat and bodily injury’ by his influencer DJ ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin.

According to ESPN Brasil, the first of four incidents took place in July 2022, after they got into an argument at a nightclub in Vila Olímpia, in São Paulo. Cavallin claims that Antony removed her from the club with the help of security guards, pulled her by her arm and hair and pushed her into a car.

She says she was about 17 weeks pregnant at the time, and later ended up losing the baby, though did not outright say this was connected to Antony being violent towards her.

The second time Antony allegedly attacked Cavallin was in Manchester, for ‘reasons of jealousy’. She says two Manchester United doctors treated her injuries, which suggests the club knew this was happening (big if true).

The next two times Antony allegedly attacked her were also in England. One of the episodes would have been witnessed by a friend of Cavallin, cited as a witness, and also by Antony’s mother (in case you thought the guy couldn’t get any classier). During one attack, he cut her finger with a broken glass, and then smashed her phone. She was rescued by Antony’s physiotherapist who removed her from the situation.

Cavallin also reported having been threatened by Antony when she went back to Brazil. The player allegedly called her and said that “if he saw her with someone, he would kill her”. He also threatened to kill himself multiple times during their fights.

So yeah, the guy sounds like a total scumbag. Cavallin has now reported him to police, so I guess she did him a solid by waiting till the end of the season.

Neither Antony or Manchester United have made comment yet, but the club obviously won’t be happy about this, especially given the ongoing issues with Mason Greenwood, and club legend Ryan Giggs also facing a re-trial next month over allegations of assault from an ex-girlfriend.
