Madeleine McCann claimer Julia Wendell – a strong candidate at this point for internet person of the year 2023 – appeared on Dr Phil last night to answer some questions about her identity and to be fair to her, some of the stuff she came out with did make you think that she might be who she said she was.

However, the main problem with most of it is that none of it is really evidence and it was just stuff that she was saying without anything to really back it up. The main points of the interview were that Julia had asked her parents for pictures of her as a baby or when her mother was pregnant and they couldn’t provide any, that the Polish hospitals in her region and her Polish medical book had no records of her early life and that her earliest memories are of a beach and apartment complex like the one where Madeleine McCann disappeared from. She also claims that her parents can’t produce her birth certificate either.

As well as this, Julia thinks that she shares the same physical markings as McCann and that the man who sexually abused her when she was a child Peter Ney was related to Martin Ney, who was once a suspect in the Madeleine McCann case. Here’s what she had to say about it:

I never bonded with my mother, who would often ‘change the subject’ when I asked her about missing pieces of my childhood.

I have never seen pictures of my mum pregnant, don’t have a birth certificate and the first six pages of my Polish health box are missing.

My first memories are of the beach and water, like sea or ocean, and there were turtles and children…

And I remembered light-coloured buildings, like white or very light colours, sunlight on these buildings.

I believe that (Peter) can be related to Martin Ney. Martin Ney was suspected in Madeleine McCann case and Martin Ney is an international child trafficker, serial killer.

I’ll go to Scotland Yard for a DNA test if my ancestry roots show that I’m from Britain.

Well yeah I suppose some of that does make her argument slightly stronger, but again it’s all circumstantial and there isn’t really any actual evidence, just a lack of evidence supporting that she’s actually Julia Wendell which isn’t necessarily the same thing. Like I’ve said all along, why doesn’t she just get a DNA test ASAP and then we can finally draw a line under all of this and move on instead of dragging  it out so much for hype and money?

Crucially, Wendell also said that her mother refused to take a DNA test or answer any questions about the possibility she might be Madeleine McCann. Her family also issued the following statement to Dr Phil:

For us as a family it is obvious that Julia is our daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin and step niece.

We have memories, we have pictures. Julia also has these photos because she took them from the family home with the birth certificate, as well as numerous hospital discharges.

We always tried to understand all situations that happened with Julia – threats to our address from Julia, her lies and manipulations, activity on the Internet.

The Internet won’t forget, and it’s obvious that Julia isn’t Maddie. We are devastated at this current situation.

Yeah I really think I’m backing them on this one and Wendell is just some messed up kid who’s getting way too much attention and being exploited by people like Dr. Fia Johansson for as much money and clout as possible. You can probably lump Dr Phil in with that gang as well, although I guess he’s technically paying the pair to end up on the show.

Anyway, let’s just finish this whole storyline now and move onto another new character for 2023. Wendell is definitely hogging too much of the limelight here and it’s only going to end in disappointment.
