Louise Redknapp Pulls Out Of Eternal Reunion Over LGBTQ+ Concerns

Before the Spice Girls, there was Eternal. A girl group that could actually dance and sing! Come on,  don’t act like they didn’t have some absolute bangers back in the 90s. Who could forget this classic:

Well, turns out Eternal were gearing up for a massive reunion tour next year, but it now looks like that’s been scrapped after the ladies clashed over playing LGBTQ+ festivals and Pride. Where did they think they were going to play – Wembley?

Louise Redknapp and Kelle Bryan were all for playing the festivals, but sisters Easther and Vernie Bennett have refused as they believe the gay community has been ‘hijacked’ by trans activists.

Louise’s publicist Simon Jones said:

A message was sent to the team putting together the Eternal reunion stating that if it was to go ahead, neither Vernie nor Easther would perform at Pride shows or LGBTQ+ festivals. This was because the duo felt that the gay community was being hijacked by the trans community and they do not support this.

Louise is a huge supporter and ally of the LGBTQ+ community and both herself and Kelle told the duo they would not work with anyone who held these views, and as such the reunion as a four would not be going ahead.

The team behind the proposed Eternal reunion are gay including management, PR and tour promoter, and neither myself nor any of the team would work with artists who held such views about the trans community.

Oops – that list bit is a bit awkward. Well, I guess you have to respect that Easther and Vernie Bennett are holding firm in their beliefs, even if that means missing out on a decent payday. From what I gather, trans inclusion in the LGBT community has long been a contentious issue due to the fact that the LGB are sexual preferences, whereas the T is a gender identity. There’s a lot more to it such as the idea that young gay kids are being brainwashed into believing they are trans, but you can ask JK Rowling about if you’re interested, as it’s a bit of a minefield to navigate on this humble blog.

In any case, what an absolute bummer for Louise Redknapp and Kelle Bryan. Not to mention fans of Eternal who were clamouring for a comeback! Never forget:
