Lady Gaga Vs Perez Hilton On Twitter In Particularly Bitchy Feud

Obviously the capital letters emphasise just how pissed off with all this Lady Gaga actually was and how serious the whole situation was.Perez Hilton replied to these allegations with this lengthy explanation on his own website fairly shortly afterwards:

‘I have long had plans to return to New York City more permanently. New York was my home for 6 years in the mid 90s, before I moved to Los Angeles. I also lived here for 3 months last year while doing an off Broadway show. I’m a new father and I am primarily focused on my family and where we will be most happy. I love New York and that is where me and my growing family want to call home right now. Sunday, my realtor showed us a list of possible apartments to rent. I learned only after the fact that Lady GaGa lives in one of the buildings we looked at, and she was across the country in Los Angeles when I viewed that building. After a day of innocent house-hunting, I am devastated and my heart hurts that my former very good friend, a person I used to call my “wifey” and traveled the world with, is making very public and very untrue allegations about me on Twitter. While it is still too painful for me to go into detail about why I chose to no longer make her a part of my life, I will say that I am a critic and not a “stalker”. Any allegation that I am stalking her, based on a day of house hunting with my baby boy and my mother, is utterly false, defamatory and now appears to be putting me and my family in danger. I will continue to be a critic – in a way that is not mean or involves name-calling, and I will continue to have an opinion and talk about music and songs, like GaGa’s “Applause”. I hope her fans stop sending me death threats, as the suggestion that I pose a danger to Lady GaGa is preposterous. If her fans want to send a message of support to Lady GaGa, they should buy her music. Notwithstanding my feelings about our personal relationship, I do wish Lady GaGa happiness and continued success and I assure you my family house hunting has nothing to do with her.’

Again, Lady Gaga was quick to reply to this statement via Twitter in ANOTHER tweet that has since been deleted and led to a whole tirade of abuse between the two, all of which has now been deleted. Check out the screen grabs below though:

Whoa. Pretty bitchy. I particularly liked the bit about when Gaga stabbed Perez Hilton in the heart – that’s some stark imagery right there. It’s a shame they all got deleted though huh?

It turns out that Gaga had previously sent this tweet (which is still up) on Friday which just makes the whole situation even more bizarre and adds more fuel to the fire. It seems like these two really genuinely hate each other:

So yeah, what the hell is going on here? Either way you look at this it’s pretty weird but I’m intrigued as to just what the hell happened between Perez Hilton and Lady Gaga for both of them to have fallen out so weirdly and for both of them to act so weirdly in public internet forums, which they no doubt both know will be fairly widely reported on the internet/news.

Of course, it could just be extra publicity for the song through a great PR strategy but I don’t think having Perez Hilton knock it is that great PR as most of the people who are likely to enjoy it are probably going to listen to him. Still, it probably gets it out to more people though as more people are covering this story. The fact that he mentioned that though kinda breaks the fourth wall and implies it isn’t actually true.

The intensity of the tweets from both parties – especially Gaga’s initial panic and the fact she tweeted some random loser fan – strikes me as being there being something way more serious going on between the two though, and it will probably develop into an all out war in the coming months which will hopefully take place via the medium of Twitter. There’s a lot of stuff from Lady Gaga’s former assistants calling her a bitch and suing her etc that back up Hilton’s claims that she’s a fake or whatever, but I guess it would be really great to know what she did to make them so pissed off at each other.

We can can only stay tuned and hope that like Perez Hilton said ‘the truth will eventually come out.’
