If there was one set of music fans out there that I thought would react to the news of a last minute show cancellation by trashing the venue then it’s Kid Rock fans and they didn’t disappoint on Saturday night over in Minot, North Dakota.

Kid Rock was due to headline some festival in front of 18,000 but adverse weather conditions meant that he had to pull out at the last minute. There was heavy wind and lightning and the high winds meant that it was unsafe for Kid Rock to perform.
Obviously the hick population of North Dakota wasn’t happy that they weren’t going to see their idol play songs like “Bawitdaba’ and ‘Cowboy’ and reacted by arguing with security, throwing their beers at the stage and just generally trashing the place. One of them even gets up on stage in the video below and then gets absolutely annihilated by security which is a massively satisfying moment, I’m not gonna a lie:

This is the best part of the Kid Rock concert riot video.
1) they’re arguing with security about a “refund”.
2) they’re telling security to “get out” which is pretty funny in and of itself.

Ok that’s a bit disappointing for a riot isn’t it? Was hoping that we were going to see some Woodstock shit not just a bunch of idiotically dressed wannabe Cowboys shouting at each other and throwing beer around. Maybe I’m expecting too much from the Kid Rock fanbase here though? They all think they’re all american badasses but they’re actually just fat middle aged men who have never questioned authority except maybe at their local grocery store or something. Losers.
