Kid Cudi Has Fired M.I.A. As Opening Act On Tour Because She Can’t Stop Going On Political Rants

Kid Cudi has officially removed M.I.A. from his The Rebel Ragers Tour because she couldn’t stop going on political rants whilst on stage.

The final straw came during a May 2 show in Dallas, Texas, where M.I.A. was booed after ranting about being cancelled because she’s a brown Republican voter.

M.I.A., 50, said: “I’ve been canceled for many reasons. I never thought I would be canceled for being a brown Republican voter.”

Before her song Illegal, she reportedly told the crowd: “I can’t do Illegal, though some of you could be in the audience,” implying there were undocumented immigrants present.

She complained about being blackballed for her views and urged fans to “don’t listen to what the bots say on the internet”.

At earlier shows, she asked the crowd, “Is it because I said free Palestine?” after receiving boos.

Cudi announced her departure from the tour via Instagram, where he wrote, “TOUR UPDATE: M.I.A is no longer on this tour. I told my management to send a notice to her team before we started tour that I didn’t want anything offensive at my shows, cuz I already knew what time it was, and I was assured things were understood. After the last couple shows, I’ve been flooded with messages from fans that were upset by her rants. This, to me, is very disappointing and I wont have someone on my tour making offensive remarks that upsets my fanbase. Thank you for understanding. Rager.”

Well, that’s fair enough really. People don’t pay their hard-earned cash because they want to listen to M.I.A. announce her political beliefs and complain about people who don’t share them. They’re there to listen to her play her bangers, of which she has at least one!

Speaking of which, it’s a bit weird that the girl who made Paper Planes, a song about fake passports, is now anti-immigration and thinks 5G gives you COVID or something? Although she is pro-Palestine, so I guess she’s not gone full MAGA.

Nice to be an independent thinker, but maybe save the politics for a podcast next time.
