At this moment in time, it’s almost reached the point where it’s easier to say which actors haven’t appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe over the ones that have with one of the notable exceptions being everyone’s favourite nice guy of Hollywood Keanu Reeves.

That doesn’t mean he’s not interested though. Far from it, as he recently revealed which character he would like to play in Marvel’s humongous tapestry of characters: none other than Johnny Blaze himself, the original Ghost Rider.

Here’s what Reeves had to say about it on a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel:

It’s really cool, I think the way that the Marvel films have developed and what they are is really spectacular. It would be great to be a part of that. […] [Who would] 10-year-old Reeves [want to be]? I think he would probably want to be Ghost Rider.

Wow. A lot of fans have been dream casting Reeves as Johnny Blaze for a long time now, so to see it actually happening would be awesome. You know he would just absolutely kill it too, especially after playing that stunt biker in ‘Toy Story 4’.

Of course, I suppose there’s a slight problem here that Nicolas Cage has played Johnny Blaze before in a couple of movies, but I’m sure that can just be explained away by the multiverse or whatever. And I think a Ghost Rider turned up in ‘Agents Of Shield’ too, but that was a different version of the character so we should be all good for Reeves to get on his bike and deliver the Penance Stare on some of those bastards out there. Make it happen.

For more of the same, check out this little kid pulling off an amazing Ghost Rider bike trick whilst punching his mate in the face. Seriously awesome.
