Jeremy Clarkson Issues Apology After Meghan Markle Comments Receive Over 6,000 Complaints

For Jeremy Clarkson to actually apologise for something, you know he must’ve said something extremely fxcked up. Here’s a reminder in case you missed it, via his article in The Sun over the weekend:

His comments were so poorly received that even his daughter called him out, while over 6,000 people have complained already to Ipso – the independent press standards organisation. By comparison, the total number of complaints made to Ipso in the whole of 2021 was 14,355.

And so, Clarkson has issued an apology on Twitter. Well, if you can even call it that, because he doesn’t quite apologise:

Lol. Clearly, Clarkson doesn’t see what the fuss is all about, but has been asked by his PR people to at least make an effort at damage control. I mean, I totally get why people can’t stand Meghan Markle (or Harry for that matter), but to say you hate the girl more than serial killer Rose West and want her to be paraded through the streets Game of Thrones ‘shame’ style is just way OTT, even for Jeremy Clarkson. Although I guess it’s no surprise that The Sun’s editors thought it was totally fine to publish.

Let’s see if Meghan and Harry have anything to say about it. I’ll be shocked if they don’t, to be honest.
