The last piece I’ll show you caused a bit of a stir towards the end of last year and it’s situated in Toronto. Most of the modern and young graffiti artists working in the Arabic style are writing about peace, understanding, and an end to poverty and war, you know the drill.
But this last mural is actually a jihadist slogan that talks of Muslim victory over non-Muslims in battle; That’s bad enough I suppose, but it was funded by the City of Toronto! So basically the taxpayers of Toronto, most of them non-Muslim, paid for a mural that prays for their defeat at the hands of Muslims. Woops.
It still looks cool though… but I know I shouldn’t say that.
