In an effort to sell more pizza, Boston Pizza has introduced the Pizza Cake, which is pretty much exactly what you would expect it to be – a layered cake where all the layers are different slices of pizza. Like so many of these new pizzas, it looks equal parts delicious and disgusting, but maybe with an extra side of terrifying this time.

It brings a whole new meaning to the phrase pizza pie. It’s also not available in vegetarian, which I’m sure all vegetarians out there are deeply distressed by.

Unfortunately, you can’t order it yet as it’s one of 13 options on what Boston Pizza calls its ‘Game Changers’ – various new styles of pizza including pizza sliders, pizza beardkin and pizza cheese clippers (none of which I really understand)  – and they’re asking you to vote on which one makes it onto their summer menu. The Pizza Cake is currently winning by a country mile so you should be able to buy one this summer – but only in Canada.

I’m sure if it’s a success though it’ll be appearing all over the world shortly afterwards, or at least in America because you know those fatties will be chomping at the bit to get a hold of one of these.
