We all love Gal Gadot and usually would be willing to forgive her a lot of things. In fact there’s a lot she could do that would be automatically forgiven and not require an apology at all. That celebrity ‘Imagine’ video though? The one where her and her self-obsessed celebrity buddies got together to sing to us about imagining no heaven while we worried about imminent death from COVID-19? That’s one cock-up she should have owned up to a long time ago!

Well, coming up to the 2-year anniversary of that brutal cringe-fest, the ‘Red Notice’ star has finally admitted that she regrets organising the video back in March 2020 (via MailOnline):

The pandemic was in Europe and Israel before it came here [to the States] in the same way. I was seeing where everything was headed. But [the video] was premature.

It wasn’t the right timing, and it wasn’t the right thing. It was in poor taste. All pure intentions, but sometimes you don’t hit the bull’s-eye, right?

Well, fair enough I suppose? She didn’t quite apologise or take the blame for it but at least she admitted some culpability. After all, just because she came up with the idea, it doesn’t excuse all the other Hollywood weirdos who took part. Sarah Silverman, Jimmy Fallon, Natalie Portman etc could have easily turned it down and pointed out it was a terrible idea. The truth is that most people in Hollywood are attention-seeking narcissists – simple as that. No one asked for that video or for any celebrity to interject themselves or their perspectives on the pandemic. It’s like that whole meme about calling up Ja Rule to ask what he thinks of 9/11. I guess it’s our fault for paying so much attention to celebrities in the first place and making them feel like they always have some important to contribute (I say as I blog about them).

Well anyway, all Gal Gadot has to do now is apologise for WW84 and we’re sweet. Other than that – top gal (pun not intended but intended).

BONUS – Here’s the ‘Imagine’ video annotated with each celebrity’s net worth:
